This docudrama, winner of 3 awards, presents the imaginary relation between a man and a woman, patients of mental illness asylums. The characters are real, the asylums are also real, but due to production difficulties, the original script was re-written and adapted in post-production, to present a fictional relation between people and places.

The northwestern Romanian region of Maramures is home to many villages where century-old traditions are still part of daily life. Elaborate woodcarvings decorate the eaves, entryways and windows of houses. Master Barsan always wanted to see his son following on his steps. But the young descendant of a long family-line of wood carvers had a very slim interest. Until he found out that the love of his life is fond of this ancient art of wood carving. Love and tradition blend together, resulting into a docudrama that describes how the raw lumber gets a new life.
